One of the most frequented bike paths in Portland, passes under the Hawthorne bridge, and anyone who's been there can tell you it's not pretty. But it could be.
My idea's to make it into a space for drumming and dancing. It stays dry because it's under a bridge, but it's too loud there for almost anything else. But drums are loud enough to make it work, and if you look closely this space has a lot of things going for it.

To the right of the path there's a flat area that's elevated, with a thick concrete wall

This area could have a bunch of cob benches, they could even be shaped to look really cool. Cob can be shaped like anything so they could be mushrooms, or a long winding dragon. I'd be happy to pitch in on materials too, and we could probably find filler material that would otherwise go to a landfill.
The area to the left of the path is what it's really all about though. I'm thinking we could make this into a wheelchair accessible dance floor with a large circular bench. -Which would use the natural slant of the land to transition from being a part of the wall, to a bench that can be used to face the water or inside the circle.
The area has a ton of rocks too so I was thinking we could use them to enlarge and level out the dance-floor. I've got a feeling it'll all fall apart fast if it's not reinforced but there's a lot of rocks there and we could easily make a really spot for dancing. -And running into cool people.
