Let's build new housing on land the city already owns, that has hourly or better transportation to and from the city, and volunteer based programs that incentivize residents to take part in the stewardship of their neighborhood, (to help establish a sense of community in the residents who volunteer to participate, while also keeping the cost of running the program low). There's a lot of different work that can be facilitate with a few experts and a community of volunteers. Needpedia could also be used to coordinate them in specific efforts, after collecting and discussing their entire communities ideas.

Theoretically if we simply built enough neighborhoods like this, everyone would have a place to stay. I don't know how realistic this is because I have no idea how much land there is that could be used for this, but I know there's got to be some, and that homelessness has become such a nightmare that we need to be doing everything we can. So here's one idea. Feel free to add to this, or create your own opposing idea I literally just wanna see this problem get solved!
